Description of Service

Companion AI is a desktop application that provides real-time AI assistance during conversations, meetings, interviews, and other professional interactions. The Service includes:

  • Real-time AI-powered suggestions and responses
  • Screen overlay interface for undetectable assistance
  • Integration with various AI models and services
  • Audio transcription and analysis capabilities
  • Context-aware assistance for different scenarios

Eligibility and Account

You must be at least 18 years old to use this Service. By using the Service, you represent that you meet this age requirement.

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account.

Acceptable Use

You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes. You may NOT:

  • Use the Service to violate any laws, regulations, or third-party rights
  • Use the Service in academic examinations where AI assistance is prohibited
  • Use the Service to deceive others in situations where such use would be unethical or illegal
  • Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or hack the Service
  • Share your account credentials with others
  • Use the Service to generate harmful, illegal, or inappropriate content
  • Overload our systems with excessive requests

Ethical Use Guidelines

While Companion AI is designed to enhance your capabilities, users are responsible for:

  • Ensuring use complies with their organization's policies
  • Considering the ethical implications of AI assistance in their specific context
  • Being transparent about AI use when required by law or regulation
  • Not using the Service in ways that could harm others or violate trust

Purchase and Payment

Companion AI currently offers a Lifetime License plan. Payment terms include:

  • One-time payment grants lifetime access to the software
  • No recurring billing or automatic renewals
  • Prices may change with advance notice for new purchases
  • Refunds are provided according to our refund policy detailed below
  • You're responsible for all applicable taxes and fees
  • Payment processing is handled securely through Stripe

Refund Policy

We provide a limited 24-hour refund window for lifetime license purchases under specific technical circumstances only.

Refund Eligibility

Refunds are exclusively available when you can demonstrate through video evidence that the software fails to function on your computer system.

Non-refundable situations include:

  • Detection by screen-sharing applications or meeting software
  • Slower than expected AI response generation
  • User preference or compatibility concerns
  • Performance variations or minor technical issues

  • Technical Issue: Detailed description of the malfunction
  • Video Evidence: Clear demonstration of the software failure

Processing Timeline

Approved refunds will be processed and returned to your original payment method within 5-7 business days of approval.

Intellectual Property

The Service, including all software, content, and technology, is owned by Companion AI and protected by intellectual property laws.

You retain ownership of your input data and content. By using the Service, you grant us a license to process your data solely to provide the Service.

Privacy and Data

Your privacy is important to us. Our collection and use of your information is governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.

Service Availability

We strive to maintain high availability but cannot guarantee uninterrupted service. We may:

  • Perform maintenance that temporarily affects service
  • Update the Service with new features or changes
  • Suspend service for technical or security reasons

Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. WE SPECIFICALLY DISCLAIM:

  • Warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose
  • Accuracy or reliability of AI-generated content
  • Compatibility with all systems or software
  • Uninterrupted or error-free operation

AI-generated content may be inaccurate, biased, or inappropriate. Users are responsible for reviewing and verifying all AI suggestions before use.

Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, COMPANION AI SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR USE, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Companion AI from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the Service, violation of these Terms, or violation of any rights of another party.

Termination

Either party may terminate this agreement at any time:

  • Lifetime licenses are permanent and non-transferable
  • We may terminate accounts for Terms violations
  • We may discontinue the Service with reasonable notice
  • Upon termination, your right to use the Service ends immediately

Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be notified via email or in-app notification. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
